Privacy policy: Board Fold: Layout Controls

Last updated: 2026-10-26 (applies to version 0.1.3 and later until replaced)

Short version: Board Fold collects no data and sends nothing anywhere. Its only stored data is your own layout settings, saved in your browser.

Who this covers

Board Fold: Layout Controls ("Board Fold") is a free Chrome extension that adds collapse and expand controls to Jira Cloud pages (https://*.atlassian.net/*). It is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Atlassian.

What Board Fold does NOT do

What is stored on your device

Board Fold uses the browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local). It stays on your device and is not synced or uploaded by the extension. It contains only:

How it reads a page: it checks which elements exist and counts them (for example, how many cards a column holds) so it can show a number on a collapsed column. It does not read their text.

Where it runs

Only on pages matching https://*.atlassian.net/*. It has no access to other sites. Its only permission is storage.

Your choices and removing your data

Chrome Web Store User Data Policy

Board Fold's handling of any user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. It does not transfer user data to anyone, does not use it for advertising or credit decisions, and no person can read it because the developer never receives it.

Third parties

No data is shared with any third party, because no data leaves your browser. Chrome, the Chrome Web Store and Atlassian have their own privacy policies for their own services.

Changes

If this ever changes, the new practice will be disclosed in the store listing and in this policy before the change is released.
